How is it best to time things?

To make sure your evening runs smoothly it is important to schedule what happens where and when. We are completely flexible to your needs however, we think it's in the event organiser's best interest that when we are playing, we have full attention so the guests have 2 dedicated hours of uninterupted dancing. Entertainment is key to an event's success so it's vital we have the oppertunity to give everyone a good time. We can also recommend that we finish the night off, so we play for the final hour of the event leaving all your guests on a high.

We recommend these timings below:
We arrive around 6pm to be set up by 7:30.
We'll play background/DJ music from 7:30 until 8:30.
First live set (60 minutes) anytime from 8:30 until about 9:30.
We'll stick the background music back on or DJ music from 9:30 until 10:30
Finally, the second live set from 10:30 until 11:30 with encores or DJ music until midnight.

Can I pick the bands playlist?

You may pick certain songs from our repertoire but we prefer to arrange the set list into a running order which works well both musically and terms of keeping the tempo and atmosphere right. If you want us to learn a song we can do that too, please mention this when you book us and give us a few weeks to rehearse it to the high standard the rest of our repertoire is at. We also like it when clients tells us what songs they don't want to hear - that way we can avoid

Where will you travel to?

We are able to travel locally in London, across the UK and even internationally if you require!

Can I see you play live?

As we're busy playing at private events that Alive Network have secured for us, we rarely have time to play public shows but in the event we do have the oppertunity to play for the public where you can come along, we'll post details on our facebook page.

Will you learn our special song?

When you are set on booking us and are speaking to an agent, please let them know if you want us to learn a song at that stage so we can firstly, let you know if your chosen song fits with our style and within our vocal range etc and secondly, so we have plently of time to learn the song.

Is the video on your website a true reflection of the band?

Our video is 100% The Guns. The audio on the video was recorded at Alive Network's professional studio (Alive HQ) and we were filmed at a video production studio. Although the video is staged we can deliver just as powerful and musically tight live performances, as portrayed in the video on our site -if not better!

How do I book you?

You can book us through the enquiry form on the right-hand sidebar of our website (over there ----->) or through our agency www.alivenetwork.com. You can also email or call our booking agent on 0845 108 5500 or by emailing theguns@alivenetwork.com

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

Yes! We offer an upgrade option that includes one of the band manning a laptop packed with over 5000 songs from all modern eras of rock and pop music, making announcements over the PA and taking your requests. If you don't want the DJ service upgrade you can always rely on our trusty playlist of party music to run during the interval to keep the atmosphere going.

If you book us within 7 days of making an enquiry we'll throw in the DJ service for FREE!

Can we use your sound system for speeches?

As mentioned above we can make annoucements during the interval if you have opted for the DJ service upgrade, but as we don't use wireless equipment we can't stretch the mic over to your table to make annoucements of your own unfortunately.

What equipment do you use?

Do you have lights?

How long do you play for?

The agreed performance length is a total of 2 hours often split into 2 x 1 hour sets but can also be split in 3 x 40 minute sets.

What time do you start and finish?

We arrive at your venue at 18:00 and normally start at 8:30 and finish at midnight, unless you have upgraded to early arrival/ a late finish where we finish at whatever time we agreed at the time of booking.

How long do you take to set up?

If it's easy to unload the van of our gear and get it into the venue it can take 30 minutes but if access is difficult, expect us to take 1-1.5 hours to set up and soundcheck.

Can I provisionally book you?

Unfortunately, we don’t take provisional bookings as our demand is such that we would be turning clients away on popular dates. However, when you make an official enquiry with us, your enquiry will be logged in our system and you will be given first refusal on your date should anybody else enquire for the same date.

What if the band split up before my event?

We take our work very, very seriously. It's our livelyhood and we're all friends (and brothers) so the liklihood of splitting up is very low.

In the event we do split up we will do our very best to find a band to replace us who are of a similar high standard.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?

Crowd participation is awesome when done right. That's why we say yes, BUT we would like to rest-assured that the whole night isn't remembered by 'that guy/gal who got up to sing and cleared the dancefloor!'. To avoid such situations we ask that the participant has experience on stage or can be vouched for that they have good ability.

What will the band wear?

We wear smart-casual attire to events but you can ask that we dress formally for your event if it's necessary.

Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?

We always carry up to date PAT certification and have Public Liability Insurance cover also.

How much does it cost to book the band?

Our basic off-peak fee for events in London start at £1049. Our price can vary around busy weekends of the year, Christmas and New Years Eve. Prices can also fluctuate depending on how far we have to travel out of London and if you require any upgrades. It's best to speak to one our agents to get more details on the price of your specific event.

Can we see some previous client testimonials?

Yes you can. We have lots of testimonials from previous satisfied clients see them here

Do Happy Hour have any specific requirements?

We request a secure changing room, something to eat and drinks for the duration of our time at your event.

What type/size venues are you able to play at?

We love to play at all kinds of venues, from hotel function rooms to boats, marquees and festival stages. We need 5 x 4 meters of space on stage.

How loud will the band be?

We will be loud, but not so loud that you wil not be able to hear the person infront of or besides you speak.

**IMPORTANT** There may also be a soundlimiter or Decibel (dB) limiter at the venue which can dramatically affect the volume at which we play. Please ask our agents if they know from past experience if the venue you have booked has a soundlimiter and what actions we can take to make sure we don't get cut off mid-song.

What is the band power requirement?

2 double 13amp mains plug sockets is our standard power requirement. For out of doors performances, please ensure we have enough power being generated (if using a generator) as bands in the past have ran into trouble when the power generator doesn't produce enough juice!
